PALMDALE — The City Council, on Wednesday, reluctantly but unanimously approved an amendment to the city’s Municipal Code that will allow for greater density in areas zoned for single-family housing by making it possible to build two units on a single lot, including duplexes, without a hearing or review.

Palmdale wins business-friendly honor.

PALMDALE — Palmdale was named as the Most Business Friendly City in Los Angeles County for municipalities with populations greater than 60,000 people, by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation. The award was presented to city officials during a ceremony, Wednesday night, for the 26th annual Eddy Awards, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

City is again examining street vendor ordinance.

PALMDALE — The city will take another look at its ordinance regarding street vendors to ensure it is not more restrictive than the state requires, and look at how such businesses may be supported. The discussion was requested by Councilmember Juan Carrillo for the Council’s meeting on Sept. 7.
